   "28. I called upon Judge Yates, who informed me that I might make out my Patent.--I went to
Mr. Hertell's & got the form of it--from that to a Parchment maker & got a skin. --After dinner I finished it in German text.
   "29. I got Judge Yate's band and seal to my Certificate & afterwards left it with the Attorney General.
   "30. Called upon Mr. Lawrence, who promised to leave my license at my abode."
