 WEN SuperWorkshop XI

The 11th annual Wood Engravers Network workshop was held at The Minnesota Center for Book Arts, 1011 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

VENUE

Minnesota Center for Book Arts is located at Open Book, an architectural award winning center for book and literary arts. Created in 2000 when three local organizations decided to co-locate and bought a 100-year-old warehouse, Open Book is home to MCBA, The Loft, a center for writers, and Milkweed Editions, a nonprofit literary publisher. MCBA has papermaking, binding, printing, and typesetting studios on two floors, and six Vandercook proofing presses, ranging from a Model 4 and Universal I (15 inch wide beds) through two 219s and an SP 20 (19-20 inch wide beds), to an SP 25 (humongous), and a late nineteenth century Hoe iron hand press restored by WEN members Joel Moline and Bill Myers.
